The people behind the coffee
Floresco is a family business in the plainest sense: parents, sons, and the friends this mission gave us. Some of us roast in Florida, and some of us work in Guatemala.

Dr. Manny and Adriana Gonzalez
For more than 35 years, Manny and Adriana Gonzalez have walked side by side in life, faith, and ministry. Though Manny was born in Cuba and Adriana in Cleveland, God brought their paths together in Miami in 1990, and their journey has taken them places they never could have imagined. In 2013, they founded Flourish Your Faith Ministries to help people encounter Christ and grow in faith. From that ministry came Misión Floresco, born from a desire to serve and walk alongside a poor community in Guatemala. That calling eventually led to Flourish Your Faith Films and the production of That They May Be One, a docudrama exploring the beauty and power of Christian unity. Today, Manny and Adriana are parents of seven, four of whom are married, and grandparents to a growing crew of grandchildren. Through it all, they have learned that when you say yes to God, you never know where He will lead. Floresco Coffee is the latest chapter in that journey.

Marcos Gonzalez
Most people who've worked a shift with me call me Marc. Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, I was blessed to grow up in a large Christian family where faith, family, and ministry were at the heart of daily life. As a lifelong Catholic, my relationship with Jesus continues to grow and shape every aspect of my life. Having grown up participating in mission trips, I developed a desire for my work to have a deeper purpose and to be connected to ministry. During college, I discovered a love for coffee, which eventually led me to explore the world of specialty coffee and appreciate its rich history, origins, and craftsmanship. Today, coffee is the means through which I hope to glorify God, serve others with excellence, and build something rooted in faith, family, and genuine human connection. Outside of roasting, I enjoy playing the piano, tennis, and chess.

Miquel Gonzalez
Faith and family drive everything in my life, the big things and the small. I am a husband, a father of seven, and a physician with a heart for those who suffer. Mission trips from an early age marked me profoundly, and they still shape how I try to see God's abundant blessings: as gifts meant for the common good, given best up close and person to person, in solidarity with those whose dignity no poverty can erase. Floresco is our family's way of living that out together. And yes, I genuinely love coffee.
Alex Gonzalez
I grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in a large Christian family where faith, family, and ministry were a big part of everyday life. I have been Catholic my whole life, and my relationship with Jesus continues to shape the way I live and the way I serve others. Growing up on mission trips gave me a desire for my work to serve a greater purpose. I have always loved coffee, and over time I came to appreciate not just the coffee itself but the people, the stories, and the craftsmanship behind it. For me, coffee is a way to bring together the things I care about: faith, family, serving others, and building relationships. I am a people person, and I enjoy meeting others, getting to know them, and making them feel welcome. Outside of coffee I enjoy tennis, music, and watching sports, and I am glad to be part of building Floresco Coffee and serving others through it.
Jorge Nichols
Born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Jorge is a fourth-generation coffee grower whose love for coffee began as far back as he can remember. A lifelong Catholic, his love for Jesus shapes the way he approaches his family, his work, and the land entrusted to his care. For Jorge, coffee farming is both a craft and a responsibility: an opportunity to faithfully steward what God has provided. He especially enjoys the consistency and precision of the process: measuring each stage, identifying ways to improve efficiency, and making thoughtful corrections from cultivation through the final product. That attention to detail reflects his commitment to producing excellent coffee while caring well for the land. Jorge grew up with one brother and one sister. Outside of coffee farming, he enjoys sport shooting, motorcycling, and cheering for the New York Yankees.

The dream, the three days of failed landings, and the farm that came of them are all on the story page.
