Questions, answered

Shipping, freshness, subscriptions, and everything in between. If your question isn’t here, email hello@florescocoffee.com and a real person will answer.

When will my coffee ship?

Orders begin shipping December 1. We're taking orders now and roasting the first batches, so yours goes out in the first wave. Thank you for your patience. After that, we roast to order in small batches and print the roast date on every bag.

Is shipping free?

Retail orders of $100 or more ship free. Below that, shipping is calculated at checkout.

How fresh will it be when it arrives?

Coffee is best from about day 3 to day 30 after roasting. Because we roast when you order rather than pulling from a shelf, your bag arrives inside that window with room to spare.

What sizes do the bags come in?

Twelve ounces, two pounds, and five pounds, and every size comes whole bean or ground. Pick the size on the coffee's own page and the price updates with it.

Whole bean or ground?

Both, in every size. If you have a grinder, choose whole bean: freshly roasted coffee holds its character noticeably longer in the bean.

Can I return my coffee?

No. All sales are final: every bag is roasted to order, so we don't accept returns or give refunds or exchanges. If we send the wrong coffee or it arrives damaged, email us within 7 days of delivery with a photo and we'll send the right bag.

Where does the coffee actually come from?

One farm: Finca Floresco, within walking distance of San Nicolás in Fraijanes, Guatemala. Every lot we roast comes from that farm.

How close is the farm to the community?

Finca Floresco is within walking distance of San Nicolás, in Fraijanes, Guatemala. Jorge Nichols, a fourth-generation coffee producer, manages it, and it provides meaningful work for people who live there.

Do you offer subscriptions?

Yes. On any coffee's page, choose Subscribe and pick a delivery every 2 weeks or every month, in whatever quantity you like. Subscribers save 10% on every bag. Your first subscription order is half off on top of that. Pause, skip or cancel from your account any time.

What is the monthly letter?

One email a month: new roasts, notes from the roastery, and news from the farm and the mission. Sign up on the homepage, or leave the box ticked when you check out. Unsubscribe from any email, any time.

Do you sell to cafés, restaurants, offices, or churches?

Yes. That's our favorite part of the business. See the wholesale page or write to us directly.

Where does my money go?

Your order buys coffee: the beans, the roasting, the bag and the shipping. It's a purchase, not a donation. The company itself came out of Misión Floresco, our family's mission in San Nicolás, and the farm provides meaningful work for people there. You can follow the mission at misionfloresco.org.
